about

This track was written as part of a campaign appealing to Irish politicians to Boycott the St Patrick's day celebrations at the Whitehouse in response to America's unwavering support for Israel's genocide in Gaza. This track, which features the melody of the Foggy Dew, an Irish rebel song which celebrates the Easter rising of 1916, is a plea to Irish politicians to remember our own history and struggle and to realise that to stand in true solidarity with the people of Palestine is to refuse to break bread with those who perpetrate genocide against them. It is also a pledge to Palestinians that although our political class may let us down, the people of Ireland are behind you and will remain so until from the river to the sea, Palestine is free! Ní saoirse go saoirse na Palaistíne!

All money raised from bandcamp sales of this track will be used to support the families in Gaza.

Thank you for your generosity and support

lyrics

SPEECH - by Bernadette McAliskey

"Joe Biden overrides what democratic processes exist in the United States, to personally sign-off billions of dollars for the purpose of genocide. "

"Who in their right mind and conscience, on a national day of a country that freed itself from oppression, would go to America and hand the bastard a bunch of fecking shamrocks?"

"Mary Lou McDonald needs to stand up to the plate now!"
